Development of residential houses
Keepmoat appointed by Oldham Council resumed stalled regeneration plans to to build 165 affordable family homes at Derker Street, Oldham, is underway. Homes and businesses on the site were cleared eight years ago to make way for new properties. The project consisted of a mix of two, three and four bedroom properties, for open market sale and affordable rent, plus improvements at Afghan Park.
The site was built over 4 phases with live roads surrounding the site. Segregation of work areas was key to success and traffic management plans. Haul roads were designed to produce minimum spoil onto public highways. Working alongside our sister company, Chandos Remediation, we were able to offer the client a cost effective solution to enable the works to be phased.
