When Hits Radio launched their Summer Food Bank Campaign, Chandos couldn’t wait to get Involved and help provide supplies so children don’t go hungry during the Summer holidays.  New figures have revealed that three million children across the UK are at risk of suffering ‘significant hunger’ during the break, with 231,700 in the north west said to be living in poverty.  The appeal comes as one food bank revealed recent demand for emergency supplies had been so high it had been forced to turn people away because there wasn’t enough food. The Directors have donated over £1000 of essential food, drink and toiletries which many of us take for granted. This was collected by Hits Radio on Tuesday 31st July 2018.
